What's Grosser than Gross?

PICT1081.jpgAt the beginning of this week I was clearing off our table. There were two juice boxes. One empty, one about halfway full. I threw away the empty one and left the half full one on the table. Then I went to my room to check my email. Two minutes later I heard the sound of a juice box being sucked dry. I looked over and here comes Ethan, drinking a juice box.I asked myself, "just HOW did he get up on the table to get that juice box?" I picked him up and carried him into the kitchen only to find the half full juice box still on the table! That's right, he went into the garbage, got the empty juice box and drank from it!! NASTY!

Yesterday morning, I was making my usual breakfast. Berries, almonds, and some sliced turkey with my mommas milk tea. There were only 2 strawberries left in the carton. They were probably fine but they looked a little soft and not so fresh. So I tossed them back in the carton and threw the carton away. I sat down at the table. I was just about to start eating when I remembered that I left my Bible in my bedroom. I always like to read my Bible during breakfast. In the 30 seconds that I was gone, Ethan had taken the strawberries out of the garbage, out of the carton, sat himself down on the kitchen floor and had himself a little snack! He doesn't even like strawberries! He just had to take a bite out of them, then spit it out and try the next one! It's so gross! I'm gonna have to move the garbage can I think but I don't know where. Oh Yuck!

I think it might be a 3rd child thing. I know several people with 3 or more children and it seems that the 3rd is often the most mischievous. My other two never did anything like this (that I can remember)!!

Yes- into everything, this third child. And the garbage is "the place" for most everything, too. Where are Gray's shoes? Did you check the garbage? Where are mommy's sunglasses? The tv remote? Darth Vader? Etc etc.

Gosh I am so glad I was the second child only ;-)

Your breakfast sounds really yummie, but I think I'd remain hungry without adding some bread or oats to it.

Oh so gross!!!! :) I'd move the trash can! I think Bubbie has gone into the trash can if we have a drink or something that we have just thrown away....I think we still have to tell him not to get things out of the trash can!!!! :) Ha! Maybe its a boy thing! Not sure!? Good luck! I've heard of kids eating roaches off the floor before (that are dead)!?!?

And yes, I think you're right about it being a third kid thing.

Ethan sure is active! I remember Alisha throwing a lot of things in the garbage, but not taking thing out (thankfully). She used to try to eat the dog's food, though. That always grossed me out!
I still haven't gotten to Wise Way to get that tea you told me about, but after this week with me and my daughter fighting the same symptoms...I will make it a priority!

Haha! That is funny! I've found theBeast eating things out of the garbage, and she's only my 2nd! I'm hoping the 3rd will be easier!

Don't tell me my #3 will do that in addition to my #1! Argh!

Yeah, that is pretty gross! The part about the berries is too funny, especially since he doesn't like strawberries.

Not too long ago, for reasons completely unknown to me, Ben asked me, "Dad, are we bums?" Well according to Seinfeld, if you eat things out of the garbage, you have just crossed the line between man... and bum.

So, "Yes, Ben. I'm sorry to say - we are bums" (at least some of us).

Extra flavor, maybe? Yuck.

Hmmmmmmm, well you just gave me an idea. Maybe I need to stop having babies before I get to #3! hahahaha. That's an ADORABLE story. Kids do the darndest things.

Yum Ethan! ;) Here's hoping you find a new home for the trash can! X is big on putting things in, I'm grateful he hasn't tried to get anything out.

Let's see, the juice box was probably right on top and not all crushed in with the garbage, straw probably still clean, he is a very resourceful child, he'll be fine. My gosh the strawberries were in a container!!! How many times have I said to my children, every time it is served, try it, your taste buds may decide you like it this time. Ethan was saving his mom another step and took care of it himself. He'll be fine. Some children are more resourceful than others, Windy is my second and that sounds like something she would do, "hey I can reach it, it looks yummy, let me try it". All 3 of mine ate dog food by the handfuls and when you caught them they would shove one more handful in before you could pick up the bowl and put it up high.

So gross!! My son has had his hands in the garbage a few times. He is my 2nd! I find he is more adventurous in a lot of ways, unlike my daughter!!
