Prayer for the Bloggin Mammas
"Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands."
Isaiah 49:15-16
Heavenly Father,
I pray for Flip Flop Mamma and her husband. As they are making this change from a ministry position to a lay position I pray that you would give them strength and encouragement. I ask that you would provide greatly for this family and I ask that you would keep this time during the birth of their third baby to be a time of peace and joy, even though circumstances would seem the opposite.
I pray for Ashlee and her little X. I know Lord that you Word says that you have the power to heal. I believe that this is true, that you can and you do heal. I pray that you would heal X. I ask that you would take every trace of this salmonella out of his body. I ask that you would bring strength and peace to Ashlee as she selflessly takes care of her baby. I pray that you would give them all a great night sleep tonight and bring them back to full health and rest quickly.
Finally, I pray for Lu. Lord I pray that the maintenance men would find the source for the flooding. I pray that you would give them wisdom so that they would know how to fix it immediately. I ask that you would give Lu and her family favor with this rental company's they have had several problems. Like the others I ask for peace for this family. In the midst of this chaos I pray for peace and and order.
Thank you Lord,
In Jesus' Name I pray,
Amen
Do you know of a mommy blogger that could use some prayer? Let us know in the comments.
What's Grosser than Gross?
At the beginning of this week I was clearing off our table. There were two juice boxes. One empty, one about halfway full. I threw away the empty one and left the half full one on the table. Then I went to my room to check my email. Two minutes later I heard the sound of a juice box being sucked dry. I looked over and here comes Ethan, drinking a juice box.I asked myself, "just HOW did he get up on the table to get that juice box?" I picked him up and carried him into the kitchen only to find the half full juice box still on the table! That's right, he went into the garbage, got the empty juice box and drank from it!! NASTY!
Yesterday morning, I was making my usual breakfast. Berries, almonds, and some sliced turkey with my mommas milk tea. There were only 2 strawberries left in the carton. They were probably fine but they looked a little soft and not so fresh. So I tossed them back in the carton and threw the carton away. I sat down at the table. I was just about to start eating when I remembered that I left my Bible in my bedroom. I always like to read my Bible during breakfast. In the 30 seconds that I was gone, Ethan had taken the strawberries out of the garbage, out of the carton, sat himself down on the kitchen floor and had himself a little snack! He doesn't even like strawberries! He just had to take a bite out of them, then spit it out and try the next one! It's so gross! I'm gonna have to move the garbage can I think but I don't know where. Oh Yuck!
I think it might be a 3rd child thing. I know several people with 3 or more children and it seems that the 3rd is often the most mischievous. My other two never did anything like this (that I can remember)!!
Wordless Wednesday
Now even Ethan eats peanut butter and jelly boats!
BMV and other things
I was going to blog today about our experience at the FL BMV but I hate the BMV so much that even the thought of blogging about it was detestable. So, lets just say that $40.00 later, we both have FL drivers licensees.
I have found a new way to get my house picked up. I just tell the boys, "I want to take you to the pool but all the toys have to be picked up before we go." Abracadabra, the toys are all picked up within minutes and we are off to the pool. That is, after about 20 min of putting on sun block of course.
Speaking of sun block, I don't think I've ever showed you this picture before...
This is my little baby when he was 10 weeks old. We went to Hawaii. I was told that he was too young for sunscreen by our pediatrician. Even all the sunscreen bottles say only for babies 6 months and up. So, we didn't put any on him. We did buy him this little shade for babies that said it blocked both kinds of UV Rays. Hmm I guess they lied. We were very careful to keep him in his shade. The good news is, with some Aloe lotion he was fine in 2 days and he didn't act like it bothered him at all. After this I decided I'd take my chances with the sunscreen.
Stay tuned tomorrow for a Wordless Wednesday Peanut Butter and Jelly Boats Milestone.
