How Clean is Your House?
This is the name of a show on the BBC America. Scott and I used to watch it every Mon. night, I think. It was gone for a while but I saw it just last night! I'm so excited!
In case you are unfamiliar, the show features two women (British of course) who go into peoples homes. These are homes that you and I would condemn for sure. I mean disgusting. The show I recently watched featured a toilet that was absolutely BLACK on the inside and it had rodent droppings in the burners of the stove! Yuck! Anyway, these ladies come into homes like these with their carefully placed products, and transform them into homes that are spic and span. All in 30 min! They are pretty funny and very clever. For instance, their rubber gloves have boas around the tops! Along the way, you get great tips on how to sanitize things around your house.
Take the How Clean is Your House Quiz here. I scored a gleaming, thank you very much! Although, to be honest, there were no questions about how many toys are on your floor or how many wet diapers have you left on the floor when you got distracted mid diaper change. Ugh, did I actually admit that? Ok, I do fold them up and get them trash ready, but they don't always make it to the trash as soon as they should, and the REALLY dirty ones go in a plastic bag and into the trash immediately!

Do You Remember?
Sunday, Jan. 28th was the 21st anniversary of the Challenger Shuttle Explosion.
Do you remember where you were when this happened? I was in 1st grade. There were 3 first grade classes in my school at that time. We all gathered in one classroom to watch the shuttle launch. It was so exciting. We waited for what seemed like hours for the final countdown. 10....9...8....
It was the first shuttle launch I'd ever seen.
I remember not knowing exactly what was going on, why was everyone so sad? Why did they turn the TV off so suddenly?
I can't believe it's been 21 years. A day to remember, for sure Jan. 28, 1986.

Marriage Today
Last night, Scott and I were laying in bed and we were talking about all the things going on in his life. I thought about how, as a pastor, people really look to him for guidance and council with their lives. In that moment, I felt so blessed to be the one who gets to lay there, between the sheets with this man. I get the intimacy, I get the most secret, private, deepest, parts of him. I felt so honored, so lucky, so blessed. This is a man who is pulled in every direction. Everyone wants a piece of him, but I get him. I get to lay with him at night and listen as he tells me his hopes, dreams, and fears. It is me who he values most and I know what a gift that is.
We've really enjoyed a marriage ministry on tv called Marriage Today. It is a fantastic marriage resource. There is a tv show 4 days a week on the Daystar network (available only by satalite, such as Directv or Dish Network) or it's on Thursday mornings at 6:30AM on ABC Family (let's here it for DVR). You can check all the channels it's available on the website. They have many other resources that are available to you. I think this is the best marriage ministry out there that I've seen. We have a fantastic marriage and yet I always walk away from that program having learned something. They also are fantastic if you have problems in your marriage. I encourage anyone who is married to check out the website and catch the tv program if you can.
