And so it begins
I put on a pair of shorts this morning and they fit me perfectly. Which would be great except the last time I put them on they were a little baggy. Does this mean that my little baby is growing and making me grow already at only 8 weeks along? I know I have popped out earlier and earlier with each child but 8 weeks seems ridiculous!
It could be something else entirely. You see, we took the holiday weekend and visited a fabulous beach in Sarasota. If you ever get there, we highly recommend Lido Beach. The water was that beautiful pretty ocean green, and it was so warm. I was standing chin deep in warm ocean water, and I could still clearly see my toes! It was so fun, at one point, Luke put on his water wings and he and I headed out to jump some waves while Ben and Ethan stayed on the beach to play in the sand. We held hands as we were out "in the deep" as he calls it, jumping waves. Not just little waves, but the kind that pick you up and carry you a bit closer to the shore every time. I love it. Anyway, usually for a trip to the beach, I'd pack a cooler with healthy food for us to eat while at the beach. However, if there is anything we've learned here it's that these Florida Sea Gulls are crazy aggressive and they will attack if they even think you have food. So, we'd grab drive through on the way to the beach and fill up before we got there. Here's the thing. I'm not a fast food person. I rarely ever eat fast food. Even when I get it for the kids, I usually get something from the not so fattening side of the menu. However, I have been craving fatty foods lately so I allowed myself whatever I wanted. Now, my stinking shorts aren't baggy anymore. Even as I type, I polish off my breakfast. On Sat. I had the exact same breakfast and I couldn't eat it all.
And so it begins, I've allowed myself to eat like a pig, blaming it on the baby. My only saving grace is that the boys went back to school today so I started my walks again.
