up to our elbows in you-know-what
our little Aisling has survived a week in our house of boys. She is not one to sit quietly and let them have all the attention either. Right now her days and nights are a bit backwards but we're working on it. Last night she thought that from 1-3am would be a fabulous time to stay away and cry. Clearly the house was just too quiet and peaceful for her. Hence my absence from the blogging world.
Today she had her first dr. appointment since the hospital. Birth weight: 9.02lbs, leaving hospital weight: 8.11lbs, 8 days old weight: 9.12lbs. Clearly we've gotten the nursing thing down pat.
Last night her little cord came off which means today she had her first real bath. The boys were very interested and that started a whole new conversation about boy parts and girl parts. The consensus between the boys was that although she does not have a "bootie" like they do, she can still pee out of her butt. Yuck.
Praise the Lord for our friends here in Florida! We've had dinner delivered to us every day since we left the hospital and it will remain that way until this Friday. I don't know how I could've handled making dinner for my family this whole time. Also, our dear neighbors on this street (99% of them are retired) came over to shower us with outfits and blessings for our little one. Hopefully I'll be back in the blog world soon.

And the bathtime observation was hilarious. Oh, to have been there!
