A New Day Brings New Clarity

So today brought a little bit of clarity to our weird wild day yesterday.

The older man's daughter came to our door. He is in the beginning stages of alzheimers. He has good days and not so good days. We live at the beginning of a cul de sac. He had decided to take a walk around the cul de sac and just stopped a few houses short of his own. No big surprised there,  we figured it was something like that.

The ferocious crash? Well, as it turns out, I wasn't THAT far off with my aliens suggestion. What we heard was the sonic boom of the space shuttle landing near Orlando. Yankees that we are, we had never experienced something like that.  Pretty cool, eh? Hopefully the next exciting thing that happens in our lives is the birth of our baby girl.

I'm glad there was an explanation for all the freakiness. I'll never forget when the emergency warning siren for the nuclear plant near our house in PA went off for it's monthly test when my aunt and uncle were visiting. They totally freaked, grabbed their stuff and ran to their truck. Guess we should've warned them. At least now you know about the shuttle noise. It's pretty neat that you live so close. Maybe sometime you'll get to see one launch.

How scary for the family to find that gentleman in your house and how sad that this poor man is suffering from alzheimers. Luckily, he was blessed enough to have chosen a family who would view the situation with compassion rather than ignorance.

And, I am impressed that you managed to keep your little girl baking in that tummy of yours considering the scares that you had!

Ahhh, that's so sad to hear. That illness is so cruel.

And my friend, down in FL, heard the same noise and it scared her also...until she figured out whathad happened. And then she was upset she missed seeing it! lol
Crazy!! And I hope the same- that little girl will be here soon! : )

you can hear the space shuttle? Wow, that is very cool...unless you are sleeping! Can you see it's schedule somewhere :p?

Sigh.... Alzheimer's sucks. Old Age should be a time that we can relax and just enjoy life, not worry about forgetting that which made our lives enjoyable...

At least you got explanations for everything. I'm just waiting for a post titled "She's on the way".

Oh, that's so sad about the man, but at least he wandered into a safe Haven. It brings tears to my eyes. Yes, the next exciting news we read about might be the Little Princess's arrival....

Poor old man. When my grandfather was dying of a brain tumour, he would wander, too.
