It's been Wonderful

Christmas break is almost over. Since we've been back in FL, my kids have been sleeping in. Well, sleeping in for them anyway. I don't even stat to hear from them until around 8:30 in the morning. I love it. My kids used to sleep in till around 8:30 every morning. Then they started school. On school days I have to wake up the big boys by 6:30ish. Then the little one usually wakes up before we're out the door because we too loud. They quickly got used to this schedule and even on the weekends they were up at around 7am. I am not a morning person. I don't like to be up that early.

School starts again on Tuesday. I have two more mornings to enjoy not being up before the sun. Sigh. It has been wonderful.

Bubbie slept in until 9:30 this morning... granted, he didn't get into bed until almost 9pm, but it was glorious! I can't believe y'all aren't in school until Tuesday. All the kids around here went back on Wednesday... strange, huh?! Enjoy your last mornings of leisure! :) Hope you're feeling good!

Oh, I totally know what you mean!! Noah gets to school kinda late as we have the last bus, so he doesn't have to be up until around 7:45 but still. I love these late mornings!!

Oh, us too! Of course, The Baby has woken me up at 6 every morning of the holidays, so it won't be THAT much of a change!

It's embarassing to say how late we've been sleeping till. Keep in mind that we haven't been going to bed until 1:00 every morning. Today I woke up at 11:15...yep, the day is already half gone.
Monday is not going to be fun.

Ahh, to have an 8:30 morning. Little is a morning girl (like her daddy). I am not. It sometimes makes for interesting mornings. Fortunately, I've been able to adjust my body clock to accept 6:30 awakenings and enjoy the peace of a few minutes on her "sleep late" days when she doesn't get up until 7.

I hope your transition back into the school routine isn't too difficult.

I know about the whole sleeping in thing!! It has been so nice!! But on Monday my household will go back to early mornings and my mornings will be earlier than the childrens! Sadly (I am so laughing on the inside) daddy goes back to getting the kids up for school on his own and 6:30am comes waaaaaaaaay early for him!!

That was one of the things I hated about winter when I worked -going in before the sun and leaving the office after it was dark.

I hope you're enjoying you final, fleeting moments!

Today is our first day back to school and work and ugh!
Breaks are nice but they sure do get you out of wack because of the sleeping in thing.

Glad to hear you all had a great vacation and you had a birthday right? Happy Birthday!

Man, I remember college days when "sleeping in" meant getting up at noon and making pancakes.

These days, I feel lazy and worthless when I sleep past 9.

It's amazing how things change. :)
