And a Happy New Year

We made it. Our drive home was not as great as the drive to Indiana. Everyone still did great, but we were much more tired and less motivated. It was cold, cold, cold. It was freezing and snowing all the way from Northwest Indiana through Tennessee which slowed us down quite a bit- not to mention a 30 min wait for our food to hit the table at a Cracker Barrel just outside of Louisville, KY. On our way to Indiana it never got colder than 40 degrees. On our way back to FL, we didn't see anything above 20 until southern Georgia and then it only reached 30. When we hit Tampa it was 47 degrees and the sunshine was warm. This kids were frustrated because they were so excited to play in the snow. However, it was all gone by the time we got there and only came back on the day we left. But we are back at home now, sufficiently messing up the place as much as we can.

I'm sad to see 2007 go. It was a wonderful year. It seemed to be the year of making our dreams come true. Scott had an awesome trip to South Africa, we moved to an awesome house in a wonderful neighborhood with outstanding schools, and of course the news of our soon coming baby girl to name a few.

There are some things I'm looking forward to in 2008. Topping the list is the birth of that baby girl! I'm excited to see the new church open and see the people of Tampa realize God's love for them. I have looked back at years past and wondered what else could happen or change in our lives. Every year brings more wonderful changes and new challenges. I am looking forward to what 2008 has to offer.

Happy New Year!

Glad you made it back safe and sound. At least you made it out of NWI before the bitter cold weather hit. It was great to see you guys!

wow, that sounds like quite a drive. Help me with my geographical knowledge of the USA, please: how many states did you have to cross and which distance have you covered by car?? I am just curious.

I wish you a wonderful 2008 with your soon to be enlarged family !

Sorry you had a rough, cold drive and that the boys missed the snow, but glad you are all home safe and warm.

I'm not sure which part of TN you drove through, but this week has been about the only time we've had really cold (relative) weather so far this fall/winter. If you had come through next week it would be in the 60s.

Hope this year brings a happy, healthy baby girl!

Happy New Year to you and yours!

I agree. 2007 was pretty amazing for us too (although no trips to South Africa or new babies made here)....there were lots of struggles, but lots of amazingly Divine intervention. By the end, I was ready to see it go. I like having a completely new and fresh start :-) Glad you're home safe and sound.
