Flying High
On Monday of this week, I had my glucose and iron tests for this pregnancy. As some of you know, I have had gestational diabetes in previous pregnancies. The trend is that it should only get worse with each pregnancy. My midwife told me that they would call me if there were any problems with any of my tests. I have been praying so much that I would not have gestational diabetes this time around. It is so bothersome to say the least.
This morning when the phone rang and I saw on the caller ID that it was my midwife's office, my heart and shoulders sank. I answered the phone and she told me that my iron was low. The midwife wanted me to take a prescription iron pill right away. I asked her, "what about my sugar levels?" She said, "Um, let me check. Your sugar levels are fine." So then I asked, "can you tell me what the number is?" "110" Anything over 140 is when there is cause for alarm and I'd have to take the 3 hour test.
I am so very excited right now! I know that this is because...
1. A lot of prayer
2. Walking 2 miles a day to take the boys to school
3. Being careful of what I eat (making myself have eggs and fresh fruit every morning for breakfast, etc)
This year since we've moved here to Florida really has been the year of God making our dreams come true!
