Whole Lotta Fun

The kids and I had a blast visiting Disney. We went to The Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Downtown Disney. I've been several times before, but the kids had only been to Disney Land. They LOVED it, I LOVED it. Once again, Disney does not disappoint. The weather held out on us. It was in the mid 80's, cloudy with a cool breeze the whole time. Perfect weather for walking miles and miles outside.

Even Ethan had a blast, clapping, cheering, and dancing during the shows and "woo Hooing" during the rides. Having that much fun with your kids makes any 1st trimester symptoms all but disappear. Thanks to Nana and Papa for a great time!!

As much fun as we had, I think there should be a few rules posted before you go into Disney. If I were running Disney, I think I would implement some of these rules...

1) Women over the age of 40 should not wear tube tops without a bra underneath.

2) On the opposite end of that, women should not wear regular white granny bras under tube tops either.

3) All people must bathe and apply deodorant prior to entering the parks.

By the way Disney, you can skip the whole, "friendship is what makes the world go round" message and just blow up the fireworks at the end of the day. All we want to see are the fireworks.

Here's a little sampling of the fun...

I love Disney World! It sounds like you guys had a great time and it was a great way to ignore the nausea. :-)

Your rules are great. It's really too bad that women can't figure the bra/tube top thing out for themselves, but since many seem unable, rules should be created to protect the rest of us.

The pics are wonderful!

I can't wait! We're going in December and the kids are counting down. I love your version of "rules." Too funny. People are interesting, huh!

I can't see the pictures, and am highly amused by your tube top horror - I think only the fat and elderly LIKE tube tops, since I never see anyone who COULD wear them doing so. Sounds like a fun day!

Oh, that looks like so much fun! Carter asks if there is a train there like DisneyLand? And -ahem- I am many years under 40 and would not be caught dead in a tube top (or any top) without a bra. Somethin's gotta hold the sisters up... that's all I'm sayin...

P.S. I found that if I refresh your page then I can see the pics (FYI to anyone else having trouble!)

Thanks for the info on Disney World! I keep trying to convince hubby that the kids are old enough to enjoy it but he thinks that we should wait say ... oh ... 10 years. By that time I don't think that they will appreciate it as they will be hitting those uncertain teen and tween years.

Your trip looks like it was a lot of fun filled with smiles and happiness. Good for you!!

As for the fashion rules. I hear ya sister! I just cringe when seeing what some women wear to the zoo or Heritage Park here in Calgary. Ugh.

Sounds so fun! We've only been to the Land and not the World, but hope to some day. I think that deodorant rule should be EVERYWHERE. Let's start a petition...

I agree completely about deodorizing! Nothing like being next to the legion of the unwashed in that heat!

people really wear tube tops out? without bras? Wow.

Looks like they had fun!

At one time, I wanted to work at Disney World as Minnie Mouse or even sell snow cones...I have only been there once in my life (as an adult) and it was like I was in dreamland. I hope someday to take my whole family for Christmas on year...No presents, just Disney!

Amanda- Thanks for the tip. I'm not sure why people have a hard time viewing my photos sometimes. My husband is sure it has something to do with blocking devices on other computers- I don't know.

Steph- I completely agree. It should be a rule of thumb, you walk out of the house, you put on a bra. How hard is that?!?!

Sounds, and looks, like a fun trip. I can't wait to take our kids to Disney. We will need to wait a bit though, my son is not thrilled with characters walking about. He freaks out anytime an animated character is near him. We don't want him traumatized so we will wait for now.

Oh my goodness! Steve and I say the same things you did about indecent apparel.

Glad everyone had fun.

Oh, I really want to go to Disney!! I don't think I'll ever outgrow it. The last time we were there was this time of year, 4 years ago. We did the parks and the Disney cruise.
I would go again in a second! It was the best vacation I've ever had...and I was really seasick too.
Maybe next year...sigh.

I agree, it sounds like so much fun. I'm 'sure we'll take our little ones a whole bunch of times while growing up. It's so good to do Disney with your kids.

I think that rule should apply to Great America too!
