Attention to Detail

Yesterday morning we were in a big rush. I thought I'd divvy out duties to everyone hoping to get done faster.

You do this. You do that. Ok, next do this. Then I said, "Ben, your clothes are on your bedroom floor. Please put them on." The next time I see him, his clothes are on. Except his butt seems a little bunchy- "What?!" He turns around and I can see that he's put his clothes on ON TOP of his pajamas! 

My husband looks at me, "Didn't Ben do a great job getting dressed all by himself?" We all give him lots of praise. After all, he did exactly what I told him to do. Next time, however, I will give more detailed instructions.

Take your pajamas off, then put your clothes on!

That's so funny! Justin used to "change" his underwear by putting a new pair on over the old pair... I finally found out when he had 3 PAIRS ON at once!

That is so cute and typical toddler-y! Somehow reminds me of an old Bill Cosby sketch when he said he had to tell his kids to turn the water on after telling them to get into the shower.

Zachary used to do that intentionally to save time at bed time....I'm not kidding. That was very logical to him. Why take the jammies off when he's going to need them again at night time? Lord, help me with these boys!!!
