Top Three Things I Don't Know About Cars

1) How to Change a Tire

2) How to Change the Oil

3) How to Add Washer Fluid (my dad taught me how to do this one on the car I had as a teenager but I purposefully did not learn on the other cars I've had, I let my hubby hadle that stuff)

( I CAN parallel park though!)

What's your car ignorance?

I too knew how to do it all with my teenage car... could change the oil, tires you name it... I even put in a new window once! I know where the gas goes on our new car -but couldn't even get the spare off to put it on if I needed too... that is why we have run flat's!

I know how to ADD oil, but not change it (filter and all). Steve and my dad taught me how to change a tire, but that went in one ear and out the other.

My dad is an autobody man and even builds cars, so you'd think I'd know lots. But that means he did everything for me! I am just like you, Sheryl- can't do a thing TO my car, but I can do lots with it... including a pretty decent parallel park on the meanest streets in Chicago!

Since when can you parallel park? :-)

I haven't parallel parked since I took my drivers test!! No need to where I live. And aside from adding gas, why do I need to know more? I have a husband!

I could fumble my way through changing a tire, topping up the necessary fluids under the hood and getting gas into the tank.

However, I would much rather play the poor helpless blonde bimbo card and have someone else do it for me. :)

Oh ... and I have this thing where when driving, if the tire is flat - I can't tell. That is SOOOO embarassing when you finally figure it out.

Had to change a tire once...another mom and I heading to a hockey game with our kids...flat tire...and I had the GOALIE!! No time for AAA--between us we did it! Wow, what we won't do for kids!

Changed the oil once in my first car...just to say I could do it

Isn't that why God gave me boys??? so they could learn and take care of Mom's car? ;)
