The town is now red.

Well, these last few days have been fun for me. Being back in Indiana has provided lots of opportunities to go out as well as plenty of babysitters. Two things I lack in Ohio.

Thursday night Scott took me out for my birthday. We went to a nice restaurant for dinner and then to see the movie Holiday. We haven't been out like that since just before the baby was born (in May)! So it was super nice just to sit and have a nice dinner uninterrupted. It was good to be reminded what it's like to eat at a restaurant and no one at the table ordered chicken nuggets or fries!

Friday I had my dinner with the blogging friends and that was great fun!

Saturday I met up with some more friends. Ladies only, no children. We went to one of my favorite restaurants (House of Kobe) and just chatted away. Women really have alot to say when they have a captive adult audience!

Sunday for lunch I am meeting my friend who I would consider to be my best friend (ugh, that sounds so 3rd grade to say). I'm pretty open with everyone but she's the one who I'd tell anything to. You know, that one friend that you can talk to about how awful your period and your parents are in the same 10 min gap. The one that's just your friend. She's not someone that's close because your in the same stage of life that she's in but just because she's your friend. When I hang out with her I feel like it's just about her and I and our friendship. Which is nice.  I think I feel the same way about my sister in law but she's family.

Do you have different groups of friends? I was thinking about all that I was doing this weekend and I felt very blessed. I've got a group of friends that are bloggin, breast-feeding, baby making machines like I am. We are very close and I enjoy them so much. Then I have another friend, we connect because our parenting styles are so similar. We both home school, and our spiritual lives are on similar paths. I love her and I don't know what I'd do without her.  I have other friends who have children that are older, but I am connecting with more now as Ben gets older. Other friends are there because we are Christian women who see the world through the same glasses. Some are friends because they've been friends for a long time. I have different friends for different reasons and they all share a part of me that another one doesn't. I know that in life you are lucky if you have one good friend. I have many. I am truly blessed.

I just want you all to know that I love and appreciate you all so much. You all mean the world to me in very different ways! I thank God for you and how you have touched my life. I hope I have touched yours too! So to, Trisha, Lisa M, Lisa R, Steph, Sarah, Amy, Jen, Adrienne, Joan, Lori, and now Robin, Allie, Ashlee, and Chris, thanks for your friendship! I know I am one of the lucky ones because of you!

Friends are great- I have the same categories of friends like you do and "best" friends in every group! I hope it's always like this!
